Facing the Corona pandemic together
We take our responsibility seriously. Our top priority is to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. To this end, we have taken operational measures that primarily serve to protect our employees and thus ultimately to ensure that hospitals can be supplied with our medical devices, because that is where doctors and nursing staff struggle daily on an enormous scale to care for patients.
We, too, will make our contribution to slowing down the spread of COVID 19. And although the demand for medical technology remains high, we have defined measures to interrupt the chain of infection wherever possible.
Production – focus on security of supply
Thanks to proactive planning, we are currently not experiencing any material bottlenecks. Our production unit can continue to manufacture.
We have introduced shift operations to ensure sustainable production processes. This allows us to reduce contacts and maintain social distancing more effectively. This measure aims to minimize the risk of infection for our production employees.
In some cases, this can result in longer delivery times. We can guarantee you our ability to supply, however.
In addition, we are now in even closer contact with our suppliers to ensure continued availability of parts.
Service – focus on availability
Performing our services is of utmost importance for our support of hospitals in their daily work. We are ensuring this by operating in shifts and we continue to be personally available to you both in the field and in the office.
Support – partners on equal terms
We see ourselves as a partner who is at your side far beyond your purchase of our medical devices. Now more than ever, our sales representatives are available to answer all your questions. Whether in person or by telephone - we are there for you.
We have canceled our training courses and workshops to minimize the spread of the virus. However, you do not have to miss out on further education. At the beginning of the year, we published our new e-learning course "Electrosurgery – functional principles and safe application“ for surgeons, clinical professionals and medical technicians.
Employees – our most precious assets
We have always assumed responsibility for our employees and their families; and we feel a heightened need for doing so in these times. We enable our employees to work on a home office basis, as their tasks permit. This allows us to not only reduce the spread of the virus, but also support the families affected by school and daycare closures. We protect our employees on site through increased hygiene measures and compliance with social distancing in the offices and the canteen.
However, due to developments over the past few days caused by the accelerated spread of the Coronavirus, we cannot rule out a worsening of the general situation in the near future.
To assess the situation on an ongoing basis we have implemented internal processes that enable us to react quickly to the current, extremely dynamic situation.
