100th anniversary of ZVEI
The Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry represents today's innovation segment in Germany and is the second largest business sector after mechanical engineering. The Association of the Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry (ZVEI) represents the interests of this sector, of which we are a part. Christian O. Erbe is Chairman of the Professional Association of Electromedical Technology and is dedicated to creating the framework with which the German medical engineering industry can maintain its leading international position.
With its 22 professional associations and four corporate members, ZVEI represents a sector turnover of EUR 179 billion in 2016 and approximately 850,000 employees. If one adds the 706,000 employees outside Germany, the value creation of the electrical industry represents a powerful global network.
These impressive facts confirm the weight Germany represents in the global development of electrical engineering and electronics and act as motivator for continuing this success story over the coming decades. The companies represented by ZVEI combine pedigree and future and express the core driver of the electrical engineering industry: creating innovation for the people. The hundredth anniversary of ZVEI on 5 March 2018 underlines this aspiration. As a partner of ZVEI, we support the celebrations.
"Size and professional competence lend ZVEI clout in the demands for improved framework conditions for our industry sector in the dialogue with the political representatives in Brussels and Berlin", says Managing Director Christian O. Erbe.
